The 2010 season is well and truly underway now with the Taunton Aquathlon last weekend. With members taking in part in both the 500/5K race with Paul DSP 9th and Sara 14th overall but more importantly - first lady home. In the 1000/10K race, Martin was 4th overall and took 2nd place. Special mention must go to Jo and Dave with finishing times within 0.02 Sec between them despite starting 30 minutes apart. Congratulations to everyone who took part. This weekend its the 500/5K Burnham aquathlon with the 750/7.5K on 28th March. Time to get those entries in and for the triathlons if you haven't already. Great to see so many memers taking part. We continue to train on Monday nights between 9 - 10pm at Cheddar and on Wednesday nights between 8 - 9 in Burnham. On 21st March there will be a cycle ride around the route for the Taunton Deane triathlon - timings tbc. Members - please can you ensure that you get your 2010 completed membership forms into Ceeli before the end of the month to keep you on our mailing list. |

This years National Club Relay Championships are on 21st August. Last year was an absolutely brilliant weekend with great racing and a great way to get together and meet with other club members. Most of us travel up on the Friday, race on Saturday, party Saturday evening and head home on Sunday. Camping is optional as there are a few B&B's nearby!!

The distances are 500m open water swim, 15k bike and 5k run, all very achievable and for all levels of ability. We need to enter the teams very soon, so please can anyone interested, please contact Martin as soon as possible. If you want anymore information about the event - see anyone of the 24 of us who raced last year! |
