WCT Weekly Bulletin 17.1.13

Hi Everyone,
New Swim Coach: This week has been an exciting week as we welcomed our new Monday Swim Coach Richard Every who delivered his first session, I welcome any feedback from members re the session, the feedback I have had so far has been very positive so he will be welcomed back next week!
Mike Gardner: We are very pleased to announce that Mike Gardner will continue the Wednesday sessions for the foreseeable future, he will also continue with  his popular Sunday rides.
Swim/Turbo Session Sat19.1.13: Mike has been working his socks off to organise what (weather permitting) promises to be the biggest and busiest swim/turbo session to date! Please keep in touch with Mike if anything changes for you, so he can adjust things accordingly to make it run as smoothly as possible. Please be at Burnham Pool by 6pm or just after.
WCT Cheddar Aquathlon: The next very exciting bit of news is that our WCT Cheddar Aquathlon is definitely going ahead and the wheels are in motion! So very important date for your diary is Sunday 24.3.13, the pool is booked 10-12 but we will obviously need help to set up take down etc. I have attached a flyer, please advertise it amongst your friends and family, it will be from age 8-adults! So something for everyone. If enough people help there’s no reason why we can’t have a system where members can compete as well as marshal should they wish. We are still asking for volunteers to be part of the working party organising this event, please contact either me, Bev or Caroline should be interested.
Friday Road run 18.1.13: Tomorrow’s road run will only go ahead if the conditions allow, if there is snow on the ground it will not go ahead. If you’re not sure keep an eye on your emails.

Kit fitting/ordering evening!! 23.1.13: Harry will be at Burnham Pool from 7.30-9.15 next Wednesday to measure people up/take orders etc. If you want kit but can’t be there then please get in contact with your requirements!
Run & Pub 7.2.13: The next Burnham 5k is on Thursday 7.2.13 at 7.30pm. We will be meeting in Wetherspoons again after the run, all welcome, we’ll be in the pub from about 8.30pm, no need to book but let me know if you plan to come so I know to look out for you!
Cycle Skills Training: Jeannie is now a Level 2 Cycling Coach and is offering Club members sessions on bike handling skills. These will preferably be on Saturday afternoons when the evenings get lighter and they will be held on the tennis courts opposite Burnham Pool. The content will be: mounting/dismounting, cornering, braking, gear selection and pedalling. These sessions will need to be pre booked, so if you are interested keep an eye on your emails for more information. If you show interest now by dropping me a line I can get a list going. They will be held in the weeks preceding the Burnham Supersprint Triathlon and we plan to dovetail the sessions with transition training/practice.
A reminder to any Bronze members, or members who started out as Silver or Gold but have stopped their Standing Orders, that we are coming to the end of our membership period (end Feb). During Feb we will be requiring payment for the 2013 season. £25. For anyone who is Silver or Gold paying a Standing Order, there is no action necessary unless any of your personal details have changed requiring us to update our records.
Thanks to those who have emailed me with the Club Championship races entered, keep those emails coming.
